Tukums Primary School "Wings" is a school for special needs students with a total number of 238 students and 74 teachers and support team members. The school covers the following programmes: -special primary education programme for the students with mental disorders; -special primary education programme for the students with severe mental disorders or several severe developmental disorders; -several special pre-primary education programmes for the students with mental disorders and with severe mental disorders or several severe developmental disorders; -vocational training programmes for carpenter assistants, cook assistants and housekeepers. The school is motivated to increase students` involvement into study process, their motivation and their wellbeing. Wellbeing has become a very important issue at the moment and we are observing lessons, working out individual plans and offering therapies to our students to ensure they feel well and supported by teachers.

WE ARE ERASMUS ACCREDITED SCHOOL SENDING OUR TEACHERS TO COURSES AND JOB SHADOWING ACTIVITIES. OUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN GROUP MOBILITIES. WE ARE READY TO HOST STUDENTS IN TEACHERS.
